Bio

Rio builds furniture in a small shop in Hamtramck. Solid wood, traditional joinery, no veneers, no shortcuts.

Rio apprenticed in Maine before returning to Michigan in 2021 to open her own shop. Commissions only, lead time measured in months.

She takes on six to eight pieces a year for clients in Detroit, Chicago, and New York.
